Some stars are missing, specifically Roger Federer on the men's side and Naomi Osaka on the women's. The men's record for Grand Slam titles is Rafael Nadal's 22. Djokovic is currently at 20. On the men's side, Novak Djokovic is seeking his fourth straight Wimbledon title. She will be playing 24-year-old Harmony Tan in the first round. Serena Williams is playing for her 24th Grand Slam tournament title, which would tie Margaret Court for the most all time.
With that being said, the stakes are still very real. That will give the event an exhibition vibe.
The ATP stepped in after the ban and ruled that points would not be awarded for the oldest tournament in tennis. It won't have ranking points attached to it because of the organizers' ban of Russian and Belarusian players. Wimbledon will have a different feel to it this year.
